Two of the standout names in the field at Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London, last year’s winning team captain Georgia Hall and record breaker Alison Lee, are focused on the challenge that awaits at Centurion Club.
In what will be her first appearance in these groundbreaking series of events since Riyadh in 2023, Alison Lee is looking to replicate her record breaking lowest ever 36-hole score once again at the third Aramco Team Series presented by PIF event of the 2024 season.
Lee understands the unpredictable nature of British weather and knows she will need to adapt.
“The weather has been really nice so far, so I think that helps. The fairways seem pretty firm, so it goes a long way.
“I played the front nine when it wasn't too windy, but I'm sure it could get pretty windy here as the week goes on, so I feel like it's going to play really different. Once the tournament starts tomorrow and probably later in the week, it says it might rain a little bit. I am just going to try and do my best to adapt to what the UK brings to golf.”
Lee’s close friend, Nelly Korda, had to withdraw from the event at Centurion Club due to a dog bite injury sustained after the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, a situation Lee is all too familiar with, having missed part of this season having also been attacked, and hopes for a quick recovery for her compatriot.
“She asked me a lot about what my symptoms were when I got my dog bite. My dog bite got seriously infected, so I was actually hospitalised for three days. But yeah, it's an unfortunate circumstance and definitely scary. She got bitten by a dog that she didn't know, it was just at a random coffee shop. I am hoping for a speedy recovery for her.”
Major winner Hall, who captained her team to a one stroke victory in 2023, is making a rare appearance on the Ladies European Tour (LET), as she returns to Centurion Club with another win in her sights.
“It is nice because I don't really play on this tour that much. I love supporting it, but I don't know many of the girls, so it's a great chance to meet them, especially the rookies on tour and get to know them a little bit more.
The Englishwoman, fresh of the back of another team event, The Dow Championship, where she teamed up with Solheim Cup teammate Charley Hull, is relishing being back on home soil ahead of a monumental summer in women’s golf, including the Summer Olympics in Paris.
“ It is nice because I don't really play on this tour that much. I love supporting it. ”

“I think I've done the hard bit this year already, for me, personally, anyway. I love playing at home and I get to stay at home this week, which is a massive bonus because I'm doing six events in a row.
“I can get some energy back, especially as it is a three-day event. I'm really excited to play in the Olympics, also with Charley, and we will stay together there too. Then there is the Scottish Open and AIG Women's Open at the best golf course in the world [Old Course St Andrews], so I’m really excited for that.”
The Aramco Team Series presented by PIF – London guarantees hard-fought competition from some of the best golfers in the world, all of whom will be looking to snatch the US$1million prize purse.
