The Aramco Team Series presented by Public Investment Fund continues to break new ground by introducing the unique and innovative Energy Meter Powered by Aramco at this week’s opening event of the series, in Singapore.

Always aiming to take the tournament to new heights for players, partners and spectators, the Energy Meter Powered by Aramco will be showcased for the first time on Thursday and will measure the amount of energy that players impart on the ball to generate distance, emphasising the ability and power of elite level women golfers.

The Energy Meter Powered by Aramco measures ball speed, spin rate, vertical launch angle and player benchmark, which then yields the kinetic energy, shot trajectory arc, and level of air resistance on the ball as it flies through the air.

Every golfer in the field will have a maximum energy target based on their potential to generate distance off the tee. The percentage shown after the shot reveals how close they came to their full potential.

CEO of Golf Saudi, Noah Alireza believes this is another great step to improving the viewer experience and said: “Our commitment to growing women’s golf and the Aramco Team Series is unrivalled. This is another great innovation to improve the television experience for viewers all around the world and continue to showcase the exceptional ability of professional women golfers.

“The Aramco Team Series is renowned for being a unique, innovative format and introducing the Energy Meter Powered by Aramco is another step on the journey to providing a world-class golf tournament to players and spectators.

“We look forward to seeing it in action this week for the first time, and hope viewers around the world enjoy it. All the players competing in Singapore are incredible athletes and the Energy Meter Powered by Aramco will emphasise their strength and skills even further.”

Twenty First Group developed the product in collaboration with Aramco Team Series, and Andrew Serio, Client Services Lead from the sports intelligence consultancy, added: “We are extremely proud of the Energy Meter Powered by Aramco as another example of TFG’s commitment to fan-centric innovation and believe it will showcase the abilities of the best female golfers in the world, adding unique, game-changing insight to fans of the Ladies European Tour.

“By showing the energy expended by professional golfers, we can understand more about how they approach and execute shots specific to context – high pressure moments, challenging conditions, or simply opportunities to maximise their own potential power. This will help fans better connect with the players, enhancing the broadcast experience."
